This young adult book set during our main characters senior year of high school takes a new approach to the classic coming of age story, that will be relatable for modern teens. Hudson Wheeler opts to spend his senior year taking classes online with the concession to his single parent mother that he take art and gym at the high school. During the course of the story he comes to terms with his father's death and what it means to him, falls in and out a love (a few times), and develops an understanding of what it means to do right by others.

Well written, Kathryn Berla does an excellent job of making what could be at times a depressing subject matter and showing the more positive side. Would highly recommend for teen audiences.
