Hudson Wheeler is about to graduate high school haven’t never kissed or girl and as no desire to go to college. In fifth grade, his teacher wrote on one of his papers that he was ‘going places”, but then his father died and he lost all focus. His last year of school, he convinces his mom to let him be homeschooled and only needs to take two classes at the high school. This give him time to work on his art; his graphic novel to be precise. He also has two businesses; walking dogs and offering less than emergency services for the elderly.

Hudson is a very busy guy and this coming of age story kept me busy reading. He befriends two girls (one whom he falls in love with), befriends one of his elderly clients (who may or may not be going crazy). Hudson learns so much in so little time, that it is amazing. I enjoyed this story so much and didn’t want it to end. A lost boy finds his way (made me think of Holden Caulfield just a tad). All the characters were believable. I haven’t been a teen in many years but hope to think that friendships develop as they do in this story.
