It bodes well for a novel when I already like the main character after just a few pages. Hudson is a teenager I'm rooting for, and I can already see that the author is setting up such interesting scenarios for his senior year. Sometimes YA falls flat for me when the characters are unrelatable or annoying, but I think this novel will be an enjoyable one.
