Andra just woke up after a 1000 year cryosleep to a world she doesn't recognize and a society that worships her as a goddess. Zhade, who woke her up, is the exiled, bastard prince who is trying to reclaim his throne. Together they must fight his evil half brother who holds the throne, assuming the can work together long enough without killing each other.
While this book immediately pulled me in for Andra's story, I struggled a bit with Zhade who has his own language/dialect. I think was more a me problem than the author, but i found myself struggling to get into his character with the language being a bit different. That said, as i was able to slowly pick it up, I got more and more into the story that had many twists and turns some I saw coming and others I didn't. I love that Andra is a body positive, strong female character. If you're a fan of YA Scifi this is a great read.
