WOW. This book had so many plot twists and big reveals that I constantly found myself shocked and on the edge of my seat. I kept turning the pages, anxiously awaiting what would happen next.
It's been a while since I've read such a layered and thought provoking scifi/dystopian book. I didn't expect to ponder the ethics of biological tech or wonder at what defines a person's humanity. But this book packed a punch.
I would be remiss if I didn't talk about how much I absolutely loved Andra, our multi-racial, curvy main character. Rather than being a stubborn, careless protagonist (as with so many YA books), she constantly thought through her options and made decisions based on both logic and her own moral compass.
Goddess in the Machine is a delight to read, and I'd highly recommend picking it up if you're in the mood for a meaningful scifi story.
