First of all, that cover! The artwork is gorgeous!
Now onto the story--I loved it. The story was an intricately woven as the cover design. There was a lot of detailed world-building and insight into our main characters as well as the side characters. The author keeps the reader engaged into the narrative and provides enough development and emotion so that readers have a good understanding of who these characters are. I felt as though I was along side the characters throughout the whole story, and sometimes even inside their heads, hearing their thoughts and their emotions. I also liked that the author kept the story moving along at a good pace, never rushing over much needed details or explanations but also leaving room for the reader/character to think and navigate through the nuances. Overall, this was an exciting and engaging story.
