I really tried to get into this book, but it simply wasn't connecting with me. I think the odd dialect really through me off. Being set in a futuristic world on a new planet I can understand the concept of needing a changed language which creates a barrier. However, it was so similar to modern language but odd enough I kept getting hung up on the conversations.

I didn't hate the story by any means, but I kept wanting to sit this book down to read others. It wasn't original enough to keep my interest. I wasn't emotionally invested in either of the main characters' goals or interest yet, and I expect to feel some kind of pull to the characters at the 160 page mark.

The plot advancement was also moving very slowly. I loved the concept of waking up from a cryo-sleep hundreds of years later and on a new planet. However the plot was moving at an extremely slow pace and lost my interest.

I tried bouncing between the audiobook version and print, but neither worked for me so I decided to DNF. Again it wasn't an awful book, I was simply ready to move on.
