Goddess in the Machine has an interesting premise. Andra and her family were supposed to be the first colonizers of another planet. They were all put into cryogenic sleep for the duration of the journey. But when Andra is awoken, she realizes that she slept for 1000 years instead of 100, all members of her family are dead and the planet she landed is a dessert instead of a subtropical paradise it was promised to be. She has to find out what happened to her family and why she slept for so long. It all sounds very intriguing.
