I got the impression from the very start that I would really enjoy this book and woah, even at the end, it didn't disappoint! I was completely drawn by all the details in this world, and even though there were many morbid characters and actions, I somehow enjoyed everyone's characters as what they were meant to be (the main, the evilness, the love interest, all beautifully written, yes, even the bad guy, ugh I hate his guts but I applaud his evil). There were details that didn't surprise me but others that did. I enjoyed how the story is weaved together, and you come to realize that every detail has a purpose. I was very sad about certain moments, thinking, "the author can't possibly do this!" Only to realize that yes, she had.
And, THAT ENDING. I didn't think this would be more than one book so now I'm very sad I have to wait for the next one. Can it be next year already? I will also have to read more books by this author.
