I figured that I would enjoy this book based on having enjoyed this authors previous works. I did enjoy this, I love retellings and think that if you loved them too, you will want to pick this one up. The characters and plot are amazing and the way this story unfolds will have you on the edge of your seat.
Marissa Meyer’s writing is very enjoyable and her world building in this book was incredible. It was very easy to picture this world and watch it come to live in my mind. I don’t think she could have done a better job than she did!
I also appreciate that this isn’t the typical retelling we always see done. The original fairytale has always intrigued me and seeing Meyer’s take on it is very fun. It’s a refreshing take and I’m hoping she continues to do it justice.
So anyone who loves fairytale retellings, good writing, and interesting characters; I think you would enjoy this.
