All I can really say is " wow this book is amazing " !! Marissa Meyer is one of my auto buy authors and the story telling in this novel most certainly did not disappoint me. A friend recently gifted me this copy after seeing it on my wishlist. I started reading and found myself immediately lost in this world of darkness and lore. It has been some time since I have read the original Rumplestiltskin and reading this retelling really brought the memory back of how much I loved that old fairy tale. If you had a gift that could turn straw into gold would you use it? Would it be a curse or a blessing? As a reader you'll definitely be trying with these questions as you work your way through this book. The lore was so well done in this book as well. The magic at play and the mention of witches really intrigued me. I loved the cursed trope that was used and how this book played out. There is definitely a cliff hanger ending so I'm excited to get to the sequel!
