I was ecstatic when I got the book! Retellings of classics are some of my favorite genres of stories to read. The way the world was portrayed and the characters grew on me. It was so hard to put down. The author did an amazing job of making sure the plot keep the readers hooked to the book until the last word. The cover also immediately drew me in. It looked almost like an illusion, which I was very fascinated by. While I may not be the best artist, I definitely know when to appreciate amazing art. I'm a very imaginative person, so the amount of details in the story allowed me to very easily create an image of what was happening in my mind. There was still definitely some things that I did not expect to happen, plot twists, but it added to the story's entrancing aura. Overall, this book was an absolute delight to read and I would definitely read other books by this author!!
