Marissa Meyer never fails to write an amazing story!
It is very different from previous books she wrote and is much darker and more twisted. I wasn’t sure what I would think about it but I really enjoyed it.
The romance is very very adorable and I enjoyed seeing how Serilda and Gild’s relationship progressed, and the characters are so fascinating. I was rooting for our mc’s the entire time, which is great since I often find myself not liking the main character.
I also liked the formatting. The way it switches from one of Serilda’s stories to the actual plot of the novel was very fun! It honestly reminds me a lot of “Little Thieves” by Margaret Owen. I really love the cover design too. That was one of the main things that drew me into reading it! All in all, it’s a fun yet dark novel and I genuinely recommend it.
