First of all, I am so happy the First Look was so long because I was hooked!! I couldn't stop reading and was just glad that there was another chapter for me to binge read. I really like the story, the fantastical world, and the protagonist Serilda. Her personality is so considerate, caring, adventurous, a little mischievous, and clever which makes me like her so much! Asking for a hug after saving the moss maidens? That was hilarious and awkward. Yes, she lies, but they were all white lies and it was funny. Unfortunately, people don't believe her because of all of her wild imaginations and "lies" but we still see her real feelings and understand her intentions.
Also, the description of Nachtkrapp the eyeless crow with the threadbare holes in its wings was so creepy and cool. The story has some pretty gory and twisted characters which are perfectly in time for the Halloween season and also very fun to read. It helps build the world and sets the mood so well.
Overall I really liked reading the First Look and would love to read the rest of the story! Also the book cover is so cool. Just glancing at it would make me pick up the book to read the description so good job!
