Retellings are big in the literary world and Gilded is sure to attract attention. The cover art is striking and stands out, giving the reader the impression that the story is about royalty placed in a gilded cage - literally or figuratively. I am not usually a fan of fantasy novels, but the author does a good job of bringing the characters to life with quick strokes. I look forward to reading the end of the novel and giving my full impression.
