This take on the Rapunzel story is an original blend of story elements. The setting is so richly developed from the opening pages that one is immediately immersed in a sense of the place. We also quickly learn of Serilda's special talent for spinning tales (spinning is a key "thread" in the tale, as we soon learn!). The shift into fantasy is quick, yet works well in the storyline. What perhaps catches on by surprise is the horror associated with the Erlking and his world. Ready to read the full tale!!!
