I am a huge fan of the Lunar Chronicles and I was so happy to see this stand-alone novel was coming out soon. Marissa Meyer puts such a great and unique spin on the fairy tale retelling. Serilda is a likeable character with worries and responsibilities who also seems to find a lot of joy in her life as well. She is tough, and you can tell right away that she is going to be a challenging foe to whoever crosses her path and threatens those she loves. Threads of the Rumpelstiltskin story that we have grown to love are woven into this dark tale that is filled with creatures and the dead, where telling a lie means the stakes are even higher. This is definitely a Rumpelstiltskin tale for the YA/adult crowd and I can't wait to finish it!
