Serilda loves to tell stories to the children she helps teach. Stories of forest people, night hunts, and dark kings. Then she helps save the lives of two moss maidens who are being hunted by a dark king. When she lies to the king to explain her presence "harvesting" at night, she never dreams she'll be summoned to his palace to do the very thing she lied and said she could do: spin straw into gold. For she does not possess this gift she said she did. And if she can't complete her task, she'll lose her life, and her fathers as well. This looks like an awesome retelling of Rumpelstiltskin.
