Another thrilling read by Wilbur Smith however this time the action migrates from India to France and finally too the New World. Once again the warring factions of the Courtney family are front and center in multiple conflicts around the globe. It was particularly interesting when one of the main characters spends some time as a native American Indian learning survival skills which will ultimately save his and other lives during the war between France and England over possession of Canada. All the characters are well defined and lead very interesting lives which made "Ghost Fire" a very hard book to put down. I look forward to reading more about the adventures of the two orphaned siblings in his next book.
