I knew Ghost Fire would be captivating from the first time I read the preview, Wilbur Smith does not disappoint.
Starting out in India with the Kipling-esque Courtney family, he takes the reader on an amazing adventure that leads all the way to the American Frontier.
The battle scenes are portrayed so realistically that I stopped seeing words and watched the movie that played out in my brain.
The intimate scenes are classy, not overly discriptive - the author comes from that class of writers that understand the Reader's imagination can work better at times than vulgar discription.
Ghost Fire is not merely a tale, it is an epic adventure of love, revenge and roads not taken.Wilbur Smith is the Go To Guy for Historical Fiction.
