GHOST FIRE centers around the lives of two siblings Connie and Theo - they grow up in India but they are separated during the French Indian War.

While the unique setting and premise sounded interesting, the writing was a bit uneasy to follow. The characters were well developed and the author approached themes such as betrayal, loss, tragedy and courage in a detailed and honest way.

That being said, I found the narrative sometimes disjointed, however, I wanted to know more about the protagonists' journey. There are also some trigger warnings that didn't help to make me more invested in the story. This book is a mix of action and historical fiction that will be a good match for readers looking for a thrilling and plot-driven story.
