Honestly, I am not sure what to think of this book. The description seems to be stuck on the sensual, and much of the first chapter appears to fall into the trap of Orientalizing and mysticizing the East.
The jacket is also a bit odd. Why is there a picture of an elephant if the book is about the French and (North American) Indian War?
