This is a fast moving and action-packed mystery thriller. What really drew me in and kept me turning the pages was the main character, Freddy Ferguson. This is his story told through first person narrative, and I found it natural, authentic, and interesting. Although a bit rough and flawed, he is entirely human and his admirable characteristics shine, even as he is fighting personal demons.

Another thing that I enjoyed was the fact that the intrigue and excitement starts right away and from the beginning there is no dull moment. This was so well-written that there was also a sense that I was reading an accounting of an actual event. I can envision this one being made into a movie, and I would go see it.
