Gate 76 delivered on action and adventure just like I expected. Sometimes too graphic for bedtime reading. What surprised me was the excellent character development. At first, I thought the plot was moving too slowly but then I realized how much we needed to know about Freddy to understand why he does the things he does. Even the minor characters had back stories that were important. I would love to read more stories with Freddy. Following along to see how a detectives mind works was intriguing. Things that most people don’t notice become important details. All the facts come together to explain the actions of some sick individuals. This detective story made me think much more than most detective stories. Bravo!
