When I saw 'Veronica Mars' referenced when discussing GARDEN OF THE CURSED, I knew I needed to find out more about this book. The premise is very interesting and I would consider purchasing this book based off of it if I were to pick it up in a store. I don't like the cover though. I can see how it intends to portray themes of the book but it doesn't appeal to me for reasons I can quite put into words. I like the writing style of the sample First Impression. The first lines drew me in. The concepts of a curse dealer and curse cards were things I've never read about before so I found that to be unique. I can't wait to read the rest of this book.
