When I first started the book, it really didn't catch my attention and I kind of dreaded opening it back up. But about halfway through I started getting more attached to the characters and the plot that it was quick getting through the rest of it. I'm on the second book now and speeding through it, and I have no idea how it could end considering there's a third book. I like that you can see on one side of the story the queen who thinks she's gonna be the hero, and we slowly watch her fall, while in the future plot we know who she really ends up to be. But then you can see that the 'villain' wasn't always that bad. At some point she had good intentions, good friends, good actions. The future tells an entirely different and more evil story of her, and never her 'hero' origins. I think if you want an entire series to read, this is worth the time and effort of the first half of the first book.
