** spoiler alert ** This book was fantastic! Really looking forward to the next book in this trilogy.
The story was so rich in detail. And I really enjoyed reading the flip-flopping chapters for the two queens, set a millenium apart from each other. Eliana is so angry and seems to heartless and cold until you see how much she cares for her brother, Remy, and her lover, Harkan. And then you see how she starts to grow up a bit and see that it's not just about her and keeping her family safe. She starts to show a significant amount of regard for Simon and Navi, though she starts out distrustful of them. I thoroughly enjoyed the progression of Rielle's storyline as well. I am excited to see how she goes from the good queen to the bad queen.
