I picked up this book looking for something to occupy my time and to fulfill a class assignment - and I came back from this book thirsting for more. Furyborn left such a sweet taste in my mouth that no other books have really come close since then. Furyborn follows two girls, both years apart, who share an intertwined destiny in that they are both magical beings and the savior of the crown.

I connected very well with both characters and their storylines were very easy to follow and connect - I had a really fun time attempting to connect the dots myself, and found myself shocked by the glorious revelation that came later. I also rather appreciated that the book began where it could have ended instead of launching straight into the beginning. Overall, an enjoyable read for fans of high fantasty and political intrigue much like the works of Leah Bardugo.
