This book was so hyped. I could not wait to read it. The beginning was so good, I couldn’t put it down. However the book got slower the longer I read and it was hard to keep my attention. This isn’t to say I still didn’t love the book, I just had to to some double reading of some chapters. Overall this book felt like it was setting up the world for more. At the time of reading this book I didn’t know it was going to have a sequel, but I was excited it does. The book alone would have gotten a lower rating from me, but as a series it’s going to be amazing. I will say even though it is listed as a YA book it definitely has some material that even I as a grown adult wasn’t 100% okay with. Overall I liked the book and am excited to continue with the series.
