I love this book. I love the characters and the roles they play. I love how they developed and how they grew. Out of both queens, Rielle is my favorite, mainly because I like how open she is. But I also love Eliana, and I am so excited to see where the next book takes our two queens. The only thing that bugged me about this story was that it was so difficult to distinguish between the two timelines. Constantly, I found myself mixing up which character was narrating and who had what backstory. But, besides that, I have no other complaints. I love the magic system and how it plays such a massive role in the storyline. I loved the world itself and how each chapter seemed to build up the world even more.
