This book is really good if you are a fan of Young Adult magic/fantasy novels. I actually won an advanced reading copy of this book, and was so excited to read it, but it literally arrived only a few days after I had a baby so it got put on the shelf for awhile. Once I picked it up though, I couldn’t stop reading and finished it in only three days.
The book reminded me a lot of the grisha trilogy by Leigh bardugo. Some of these YA fantasy novels are starting to read the same, but this one was updated and different enough to keep me interested. Clearly, since i read it in only three days with a newborn at home! Overall I would recommend reading.
