Mess all around
Furyborn by Claire Legrand is a YA fantasy novel that follows the story of two girls that are hundreds of years apart, Rielle Dardenne the evil queen of legend and Eliana Ferracora a bounty hunter that rolled in the sheets more than the streets. The thing that links these two girls, is the aspect of legacy and prophecy. In which there is set to be a queen of light, and a queen of blood.
Spoilers aside, I didn't enjoy this book. The writing was messy and often went off script with details that didn't match what was already said in previous chapters. And some of the plot points weren't all that believable.
Overall, Great concept, good characters, poor execution. I found many plot points that didn't carry over from previous chapters that I often had to go back and fact check (most of the time, they said different things). Was chapter 41 really that necessary?
