I love the cover of this book! It is very appealing and I would pick this book up in a store and want to read it.
I am not a fan of long prologues, but I loved this one. To learn of the queen brutally killing her husband then talking creepily to her newborn daughter was very intriguing. I was shocked to hear of a character dying in the first 4 pages when Garver jumps off the queens tower because someone found out he was a marque. Then the wicked queen dies shortly after. This interests me a lot because I think this book will be full of a lot of action and twists.
I need to know what happens next!! I cant wait to see what kind of person this baby turns out to be and how Simon becomes her protector. I know there are a lot of hardships they will face.
Then getting to chapter 1, I am shocked this book is about Rielle. I was sure it was going to be about the baby! Now I am dying to know what happened to get her to the point she was in the prologue!
