I had seen this book on the shelf at my local bookstore a few times before I actually picked it up. This book is full of strong women who are learning what it is they want to become.
The wold building is amazing. I could really see what each character saw. Rielle during the trials and Eliana during her escape. It was so easy to get lost in each of these ladies worlds even though they were centuries apart. The way the author slowly reveals just how these two women are connected is a true delight and I especially love getting both POVs.
The supporting characters are wonderful. Remy is a true delight and light in the darkness that is Eliana’s world and Simon is definitely quite intriguing. As for Rielle’s supporting cast, I love Audric. He is understanding and uncompromising, maybe a little to much so at times, of his love and faith in Rielle.
I immediately wanted/needed the next installment is these two ladies journey.
