Oh, no one is more disappointed than me! FURYBORN was one of my most anticipated reads of 2018 and I'm so disappointed!
My first complaint is that the book is just too long! At 500 pages, this was already making me wary—big books are not my friend. And while reading it, FURYBORN truly did feel like all of those 500 pages. It was slow. It was boring. At points, nothing happened. When there was action, it did not hook me.
The characters were all bland too. I've seen so many raving reviews for FURYBORN that expressed love for the queens and other side characters, and yet? They were all lifeless?
The stakes were NEVER high enough. It made me wonder just what exactly was the point? What was anyone fighting for?
Overall, not impressed and would not recommend.
