The cover alone drew me in and the story did not disappoint. It totally lived up to my expectations. The story alternates chapters between then and now 1000 years later. I was so hooked in the first chapter that I could not believe the author went back to the beginning. I had to keep reading to find out how we got to where we did in chapter 1. Unfortunately not all was addressed by the end of the book which left me dying for the sequel. I cannot wait till next year!!! The chemistry between the female and male leads is fantastic. Forget how strong the females are. They of course kick ass. Highly recommend. In fact I plan to check out the other books by this author as a result.
