Furyborn starts off with a bang. From there it does not really seem to stop. Be prepared to read this is one setting. I am serious you will need to sit down with snacks and drink at the ready. I started this book right before dinner, and even as my stomach was growling at me I did not want to get up and put the book down.

There is so much happening in this book. Multiple timelines, magic, politics, angels, and 2 POVs. Yet somehow despite all that, I was still swept away in this story. I loved the duality of the storylines and the ingenious way in which the author kept the plot moving. When one story would slow down and let you get a feel for the characters more, the other sped up with action that left me white-knuckling this book.

The best part of this book though was definitely the beginning. The Prologue left me gasping, mostly because the author didn't build up to the story in it, instead she dropped the reader right into the middle of it and just took off. It was the proverbial mic drop of literature and I was only 20ish pages in to the book!!
