At first glance at this book i was ready to read another classic trope filled fantasy young adult novel (the likes of which I personally enjoy reading very much) but when the beginning of the book took such an unexpected turn and continued to blow my mind within the first chapter I knew reading it would be quite a wild ride and how right it was.
As I continued reading I dodscovered of course hat the book is writen in to character perspectives something i was always hated as a reader because I feel that when an author tries to execute two story lines more often then not I have found that one or both where neglected while writing and it falls short but I continued on and was incredibly impressed by how beautifully Legrand manages to make the reader so encapsulated in both storyline and how gracefully intertwined the girls lives are. And incredible novel and in my opinion a game changer for the young adult genre
