I have chills after reading the excerpt of 'Furyborn' by Claire Legrand. This book sucks you in from the start, begging you to continue reading. From the very first page you are introduced to a range of characters, seeing both (what you assume to be) good & evil play out against each other. You are introduced to a queen who has murdered her husband, has a child & immediately sends her away for safe-keeping... but why? So much unknown is introduced in those first few pages, hooking you from the start.
The cover of this book is stunning. From the graphics you can tell right away that this is a fantasy novel including royal characters, enemies, and death. (The blood dripping off the knife gives that one away!)
Definitely a book I could see myself enjoying greatly!
