Marlene goes to the salon every Sunday to get her hair done. She hates it and wonders why she can't just sport her natural curls. This day is special. It's her cousin's quince, and so she has to look her best. But the day doesn't quite go according to plan. This was such a cute First Look. I really like the art in this graphic novel and felt so sad for Marlene, who just wanted to be herself. I'd love to read more.
