First off, this book is such an adorable graphic novel! I'm not a huge fan of graphic novels, but I definitely wanted more of this book when I was finished. The pages are full of color and well written to really show Marlene's thoughts like a true teen struggling with her self image. This book is so relatable whether or not you struggle with your hair or skin or any other teen self image struggle. I can see myself in Marlene. I actually read this as I was interested in Frizzy for my preteen who loves graphic novels. I can see her sitting and reading this in all one sitting. Fantastic book!
