This is why I don't read YA

I was the wrong audience for this book. I don't usually read YA and the reason is because I just usually can't connect to the characters, they are underdeveloped to me and I can't relate to their motivations and problems. I'm sure this wasn't always the case but I guess that's probably just the issue with getting older. I took a chance on Frankly in Love because it sounded really good and I'd heard some really great reviews of it already - sometimes I can still find a YA book that really resonates with me. Unfortunately, that wasn't this book; for all the reasons I already mentioned it just didn't impress me. There was nothing really wrong with it and I think people who read and enjoy YA will really love this one, just not me.
