At first glance I thought this book was going to be a love story. Turns out it was much more than that. Frank is your typical high school senior, looking to find love while also impressing his parents. His parents immigrated to America from Korea and only want their son to marry a fellow Korean. Frank ends up dating a white girl and hiding it from his family. While dealing with the sneakiness of keeping his relationship hidden, Frank's parents also go through some personal issues. Frank is on the fence with how to react because him and his parents don't have your typical relationship.

I enjoyed the plot of this book but I felt like it went on for too long. How many times did we need to hear how Frank's parents were racist? How many times can we talk about Korean traditions? For how the book ended I felt it could have been accomplished in about 100 pages less.

The cover is unique and eye-catching, which I loved. I also love that it's a bright and yellow book. Overall I wish there was more inside than what attracted me to this book on the outside.
