I absolutely love this book. It was so funny and heartfelt. All of the characters were so dynamic and colorful, it made me feel as though I knew them in real life. And it made me long for a movie adaptation as well. I loved how David Yoon mixed high school drama with the drama of what it means to be the child of an immigrant, for better or for worse, and how different expectations can result in a strain on the familial relationship. Frank was learning not only what he wanted out of a potential partner, but who he was, and how he identified with his culture. It's a lot to unpack in one book, but David Yoon did an incredible job.
The cover was also another thing that was incredibly done. Before I even knew what the book was about, I gravitated towards it because of the cover and how eye catching it was. And obviously the delightful plot sucked me right in too!
