Frankly in Love by David Yoon is a light hearted and fun romantic read about growing up Korean-American. This was from a perspective that I haven't heard a lot from before, and a lot of the themes reminded me of The Joy Luck Club.

Frank and Joy are great characters! It was so interesting to hear about their families, histories, and how they live as "limbo" kids, between their traditional Korean parents and the American existence they try to form for themselves. I also really enjoyed Q and his entire storyline. He is such a good friend. I'm sad that he didn't have more agency in this story.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it, but it felt like it kept going after it was time for it to end.

After reading this book, I definitely want to read more of David Yoon's writing in the future. I certainly recommend this romance to anyone who is interested!
