The main character grows from this boy who wants to be with a girl and feel what it feels like to kiss one, to a guy who builds a stronger relationship with both his parents who mainly speak Korean and only know little English. I found a lot of things that Frank Li was experiencing with his parents on their comments about people who are not of the same race as them as a common factor. Having the difficulty of bringing up what they say is not right and to not judge people based on their looks, the same way Frank Li faced with his parents saying stuff about his black friend. Overall, it was a cute story of how we all knew he would end up dating the Korean girl.
