Thank you BookishFirst and the publishers for sending me a copy for review.

I am frankly in love with David Yoon's writing style.

I honestly was not prepared to love this book as much as I did. Like, I almost peed myself within the first few chapters cackling my ass off. His style is very much akin to my sense of humor. Suited perfectly for YA too as it makes you feel like you're just hanging around talking to friends. I was impressed.

Onto the story. It was a little bit predictable but that didn't retract from my enjoyment in any way shape or form. I also feel like what happened at the end could have been done in a way that left a bigger impact.

I loved the characters of Frank and Joy and Q. The three of them played off of each other nicely and reminded me of me and my friends.

The way that racism was addressed in this book was spot on. There was no pussy footing around. No flowery bullshit. It was blunt but true and still very, very funny.

I enjoyed seeing the little added touch of David Yoon clearly inserting himself and his lovely wife and daughter into the story. I saw that Yoon. I see you bruh. Good job. Here's your sticker: *insert gold star here*

Also, how the author chose to insert two entire pages of text written in Hangul was also a very cool artistic choice I felt. I admittedly could only understand ten words out of the whole two pages sksks but it really helped make you feel as lost as the main characters were feeling at that exact moment.

Overall, this book is the freaking bee's knees. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by David Yoon as soon as my greedy little self can get my hands on them.
