Wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book. Was afraid it might be YA fluff, but BOY was I wrong! This book opened my eyes to so many things, especially what it must be like to be "American," but not seen as "American."

Frank Li is a Korean American, high school senior who has a crush on a white girl, which is extremely forbidden by his parents. The lengths Frank goes to to spend time with this girl are totally something teens would do. I immediately felt like I was walking in Frank's shoes. The boy banter was authentic & realistic!

This book handled some tough issues in such a tender, but not sappy way. I have already recommended this book to many of my friends and have added it to our book club TBR. Well done, David Yoon!
