Frankly In Love gives you an insight into the mind of a teenaged Korean-American navigating two different worlds, the Korean bubble his parents want to keep him in and being an American teenager. Being a hyphenated American, I felt Frank’s struggle with not fitting in either of those worlds.

You will feel the battle that our young protagonist has in wanting to please his parents but also create his own path, just as many second generation Americans do.

While navigating his dilemmas of identity you get a story of falling in love for the first time, amazing friendships and the woes of being a high school student coming to an end.

Frankly In Love is a novel that should be taught in every American classroom.
