On the whole this book was a bit of a peek into a story that could be really well told.
The references made of being a victim of immigrant parents is strongly shown, wherein roots always are never forgotten. The small Korean references made me feel proud that o knew some words from watching so many kdrama's. The book on the whole was actually not clear, I didn't know what to concentrate on while reading, the family? love? freedom? Regret? Pain? It was a mixture of confusion for me.
I beleive that one must take pride in being what you are. The fact that our leads are so troubled by it is so very different from what I have been seeing in the real world via k-pop bands. The message they give out is a strong one, so I don't completely agree with the book in many ways.
